- QPR sign midfielder Tom Rosenthal
- Rosenthal will join up with EDS group
- Move is subject to international clearance
The 18 year-old will join up with QPR’s Elite Development Squad, having agreed a one-year contract, subject to international clearance.
Rosenthal, son of former Liverpool and Tottenham striker Ronny, began his career in the youth set-up at Watford before joining Belgian outfit Zulte Waregem last summer.
After putting pen to paper, Rosenthal told www.qpr.co.uk: “I am very happy to join QPR, and excited.
“For a young player like me to sign for a big club like this is great. I can’t wait to prove myself with the Under 21s, learn and improve.
“I moved to Belgium as I felt it was a good opportunity to develop myself, and it was a really good decision.
“Now I am ready to come back to England to play, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Paul Hall, QPR’s Senior Professional Development Coach, added: “Tom has trained with us over the past couple of weeks and acquitted himself well.
“He covers the ground well, he’s good in possession and is a strong and powerful boy for his age. Now we will be working to enhance all those qualities he has.”
To date, Rosenthal has represented Belgium at Under 18 and Under 19 level.
