R'S youngster Ryan Manning took his tally to three goals in as many days after firing the Republic of Ireland Under-19s to victory over nine-man Azerbaijan on Friday afternoon.

Manning - who bagged a brace in Wednesday's 6-0 win over the same opposition - found the net again, this time from the penalty spot.

The midfielder opened the scoring at the Tallaght Stadium with a spot-kick after 26 minutes, whilst Jack Hallahan's strike three minutes later secured the win.

The visitors ended the afternoon two men light after Elgyun Ulukhanov and Ilkin Sadigov both saw red in the closing stages.

Manning, who signed for Rangers from Galway United in January, now returns to west London ahead of Monday's Under-21s fixture with Ipswich Town at Harlington.
