Breaking News

TOMMY Smith has joined former R’s duo Heidar Helguson and Matthew Connolly at Cardiff City.

The experienced 32 year-old attacker has put pen to paper on a two-year deal at the Cardiff City Stadium, after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee.

The deal sees Smith link up with former Watford team-mate and current Bluebirds boss Malky Mackay.

Smith joined QPR from Portsmouth in August 2010 and made 33 appearances in the R's promotion-winning season, scoring six goals.

Last season, Smith was part of a little bit of history for the R's, as he scored our first goal back in the top-flight in a 1-0 win at Everton.

He went on to make 20 appearances in all competitions, bagging a contender for Goal of the Season in Mark Hughes's first victory in charge.

The club would like to thank Tommy for his services and wish him every success for the future.
