Breaking News

INTER Milan lie in wait on Friday night (kick-off 12.30am UK time) for a winner-takes-all clash as QPR Under-18s bid for a place in the Newark International Soccer Classic final.

Steve Gallen's youngsters are just 90 minutes away from a place in Saturday's main event, knowing a draw should be enough to see the R's through.

Rangers top Group A on four points ahead of the Nerazzuri only on goal difference following Wednesday's emphatic 5-1 triumph over the Players Development Academy.

Goals from captain Darnell Furlong and Olamide Shodipo edged the R's in front before substitute Tyrell Mitford stole the limelight, coming off the bench to net a remarkable eight minute hat-trick.

Despite being held to a 2-2 draw by Boston in the R's opening encounter Stateside, victory in their second put Gallen's troops into pole position after Inter could only muster a goalless draw with the same opposition.

Friday's Group A decider kicks-off at 7.30pm (12.30am UK time).

QPR's Group A fixtures:

Tuesday 27th August – FC Bolts Celtic D 2-2

Wednesday 28th August – Players Development Academy W 5-1

Friday 30th August – Inter Milan

The tournament is taking place at New Jersey Institute of Technology, University Heights, Newark, New Jersey.
