1983/84 completed a unique double after it was voted as QPR’s best-ever away kit.
After weeks of debate on social media, the QPR Away Kit World Cup came to a climax with the final contested on Friday.
From 32 hopefuls it all came down to two classics from the 80s, with our famous Guinness black and red hooped shirt edging out its red Adidas counterpart from 1981/82.
It followed the semi-final stages, where the 2013/14 play-off final winning kit and 1975/76 red and white halves number just missed out.
Across social media there were just under 200,000 votes during the competition – with 6,000 fans having their say in Friday’s final.
The Away Kit World Cup followed the Home Kit World Cup which also saw 1983/84 take the crown as #RGreatestKit!
Following the success of both competitions, we’ll be running a similar tournament to determine the winner of our #DesignRKit competition following the end of the 2019/20 season.
