HEADING to Bristol on Saturday? Here’s everything you need to know ahead of our fixture at Ashton Gate Stadium.
Ticket Info
Supporters are advised this is an ALL TICKET fixture. Tickets will be on sale from Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium until midday on Friday 16th August. Please DO NOT travel without a valid match ticket.
Turnstiles
Travelling R’s fans will be located in the Atyeo Stand. Despite being the oldest stand in the ground, the view from it is good and unobstructed. It is located close to the pitch and helps you feel really part of the action.
Driving directions
The Postcode is BS3 2EJ. When driving to Ashton Gate, leave the M4 at junction 19 to merge onto the M32. Continue on the A4032 and turn left onto the A4044. Next, exit onto A4/Templegate and then onto the A370/York Road and continue on for the stadium.
Parking
Parking isn’t available at Ashton Gate itself. However, the Bedminster Cricket Club offer parking on matchdays at the price of £10. Otherwise, supporters can park on certain nearby street. Please be careful to check signage for parking restrictions.
Rail travel
The nearest railway station is Parson Street, which is about a 20-minute walk from Ashton Gate. Bristol Temple Meads mainline station is about a 45-minute walk from the stadium. On matchdays, a special shuttle service runs from near Bristol Temple Meads station to Ashton Gate.
On matchdays, there are also two trains per hour that travel from Bristol Temple Meads station to Parson Street.
When travelling from London, regular trains run from London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads.
Pubs and where to eat
There are multiple pubs within a 15-minute walk from the stadium. The Nova Scotia, the Bedminster Cricket Club and the Rose of Denmark pub are popular with visiting supporters. However, the Tobacco House bar is located closer to the stadium and again welcomes away supporters.
A number of food stalls are located around the stadium, as well as a KFC located outside the main entrance to Ashton Gate.
In-ground refreshments
There is normally a small beer bar outside the visitors’ turnstiles before you enter the stadium and alcohol is also available inside the ground.
Food inside the stadium includes steak & ale pies, cheese & onion pasties, steak pasties, and sausage rolls.
