CHARLIE Owens is set for a spell of “three to four months” on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury playing for our Under 23s against Bournemouth last week.
Dr Imtiaz Ahmad, the club’s Head of Medical Services, explained: “Unfortunately Charlie twisted his right knee and has torn his cartilage.
“After seeing the specialist it was quickly agreed that having surgery was the best course of action.
“He subsequently had an operation on Saturday.
“This type of injury normally takes three to four months to repair.
“Charlie is naturally disappointed but upbeat and determined to come back strongly.”
