QPR pair set to miss Burton Albion clash

IAN Holloway will have to make do without the services of Paul Smyth and Jordan Cousins at Burton Albion this weekend.

The duo have been ruled out of the trip to the Pirelli Stadium owing to injury, meaning Holloway will be forced to shuffle his pack against Nigel Clough’s men.

Holloway told www.qpr.co.uk: “Paul picked up a thigh injury in training so he’s out unfortunately.

“Jordan has got a slight hamstring problem. I don’t believe it is a huge issue but we need to be careful with him owing to his recent history.”

However, there’s some good news for Rangers ahead of the trip to Staffordshire.

Alex Baptiste is available after overcoming a back injury which saw him come off against MK Dons last weekend, whilst Massimo Luongo is set to return after being rested for the FA Cup tie.

Meanwhile, James Perch came through 90 minutes of Under-23s football on Monday, so edges closer to a First Team return.
