EBERECHI Eze admitted it is an honour to be selected to play for England’s Under-20 side.
The QPR attacker received his first international call-up earlier on Friday when he was included in Paul Simpson’s squad for matches against Italy and the Czech Republic later this month.
And the R’s number 10 is looking forward to linking up with the young Lions at St. George’s Park following Saturday’s match against Derby County.
“You want to be called up for international football and it is a great honour to have been,” he told www.qpr.co.uk. “It’s a really good milestone for me.
“I found out on Thursday night. I got a bit of an inkling from the Doctor as the FA had spoken to him and I’m really excited.
“It will be a good experience, I’ve never been involved before so I am looking forward to seeing what it is like.”
The Under-20 squad will host Italy on 11th October at AFC Fylde, Preston (7 pm BST) before taking on the Czech Republic at the home of Dynamo České Budějovice on 15th October (5:00 pm BST).
Eze had previously trained with Nigeria's senior side but has not played for any nation yet.
