EBERECHI Eze made his international debut for England Under-20s on Thursday night in a 2-1 win against Italy.
The QPR number 10 was handed his first young Lions call-up by boss Paul Simpson for the Elite League fixture at AFC Fylde’s Mill Farm stadium.
Eze started and operated in a wide role for England as he completed 82 minutes.
In front of 3,870 spectators, Eze took to his new surroundings well and the R’s youngster helped England U20s on their way when he set-up Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah to make it 1-0 after 19 minutes.
England doubled their lead moments before half-time through another Gunners youngster - Joe Willock - who converted from the penalty spot to make it 2-0.
Italy did pull a goal back in the 65th-minute courtesy of Davide Fratessi before Eze looked to turn provider again, this time Tom Pearce forcing a strong save as Eze was replaced with eight minutes remaining.
The victory keeps England at the top of the Elite League table ahead of their match in the Czech Republic on Monday.
