EBERE Eze says that Saturday’s dramatic 4-2 win over Blackburn Rovers gave QPR the rewards that their recent performances have deserved.
Rangers headed into Saturday’s fixture on the back of Wednesday’s disappointing result in Cardiff and Eze knew that the R’s needed to ‘rectify’ things.
Attacker Eze was influential all afternoon against Rovers, netting the R’s second goal, and after the game told he www.qpr.co.uk: “The boys worked hard all afternoon.
“We showed our quality in the final third and got the deserved three points. I felt like we needed those points and that performance after what we felt was an undeserved result in Cardiff last week. We put it right.
“Going into the international break you need the three points, so you have something to work off, which leaves you in a good mood going into the next one.”
Speaking about his fourth goal of the campaign, the number ten says he was always going to go for goal. He said: “Ryan [Manning] slipped the ball through to me and I had a couple of other options but I chose to be greedy and luckily it went into the bottom corner.”
Attention now switches to the trip to Hull City in a couple of weeks and Eze knows if we can produce that level of performance again then we can come out with another three points.
He said: “We have won this one [against Blackburn] but it’s done now. We need to build on it. Our focus switches to Hull in a couple weeks and, if we can produce a similar performance against them, I’m sure we will come out with a positive result.”
