Frank Clarke (1942-2022) – RIP

EVERYBODY at QPR has been saddened by the passing of former forward Frank Clarke at the age of 79.

He joined the R’s in 1968 from Shrewsbury Town and played a role in our promotion to the First Division that year, scoring in three consecutive victories throughout March of '68.

Clarke went on to lead the line for Rangers in what was our first-ever top-flight game against Leicester City the following season.

The forward ultimately scored 24 goals in 76 appearances for the Super Hoops, before departing in 1970.

Born in Staffordshire, Frank also went on to represent both Ipswich Town and Carlisle United.

Our thoughts are with Frank’s family and friends at this difficult time.

May he rest in peace.
