DARNELL Furlong admits QPR travel to Preston North End on Saturday full of confidence following back-to-back wins in the Sky Bet Championship.
Rangers travel to Deepdale in search of a third straight success after following up last weekend’s 4-1 thumping of Birmingham City with success in midweek at Loftus Road over Wigan Athletic.
“We’ll just go there and try to do everything that we’ve been doing,” Furlong told www.qpr.co.uk.
“The last two games have been brilliant, so we’ll take confidence from those into Saturday and see what we can do.”
Rangers have saved some of their better displays this season for the road.
Despite lying five places and nine points below Simon Grayson’s side in the table, Furlong sees no reason why the R’s can’t come away with another positive result away from home.
“I don’t think we look at that too much,” he said.
“Birmingham were above us and look what we did to them. Hopefully we can do that again!”
Furlong and co make the trip north fresh from Tuesday night’s 2-1 win over Wigan Athletic.
It might have not been quite as entertaining as the victory three days earlier, but it was equally, if not more, important as far as Furlong’s concerned.
“We did exactly what we needed to do,” he added. “We knew it was going to be a bit more of a messy game but sometimes you just have to be ready to adapt to whatever’s thrown your way.
“That’s exactly what we did.”
And after two wins on the spin, the R’s youngster doesn’t want the momentum to end now.
“There’s no better feeling than winning,” he said. “It was a really nice couple of days after Birmingham, and to do it again is the nicest possible feeling.
“Our character’s building; we’re getting stronger and stronger in every way. We don’t feel like we’re beaten; we’ve done it in a few games now where teams have pulled a goal back, but we’ve managed to go ahead again.
“The last two games have been brilliant and we want to keep that winning feeling.”
