GEOFF Cameron’s contract with QPR has been extended by a further 12 months after the club took up the option of an additional year.
Cameron will now remain with the R’s until the summer of 2021.
Manager Mark Warburton said: “Geoff is a very important part of the squad.
“He not only provides us with quality and leadership on the pitch, but he gives us vital experience in the dressing room.”
Director of Football Les Ferdinand added: “We have a very young squad and having someone of Geoff’s calibre to help guide them is a really crucial part of their development.
“I remember when I came through as a player here, the help and direction I got from experienced players such as Ray Wilkins and Alan McDonald was absolutely key for me.”
Cameron, 34, initially joined QPR on a season-long loan from Stoke City in the summer of 2018 before completing a permanent switch 12 months ago.
He has made 48 appearances for the R’s to date, scoring twice.
He gives us vital experience in the dressing room.
