Holloway shortlisted for Championship MOTM Award

QPR boss Ian Holloway has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month award for October.

Holloway's nomination comes after he oversaw an unbeaten month for the R's, with two wins and two draws from four fixtures.

In shortlisting Ollie for the award, the Football League commented: 'Trusted his methods and his players through a frustrating sequence of draws. Home wins against the top two, Wolves and Sheffield United, in the space of four days saw QPR pick up eight points from four unbeaten games.'

Holloway is joined on the shortlist by Bolton Wanderers boss Phil Parkinson; Derby County gaffer Gary Rowett; and Brentford manager Dean Smith.

The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley' Sky Sports’ EFL League expert Don Goodman' EFL Marketing Director Drew Barrand' League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon' and Sky Bet EFL Trader Mikey Mumford.

The winner will be announced tomorrow (Friday).
