THE below FAQs have been produced to help supporters who have questions about the club’s online video streaming service, QPR+, ahead of Saturday's match against AFC Bournemouth (October 17th).

QPR+ will be live streaming all of Rangers’ league games until further notice and these FAQs will help you to understand who can watch each game and what steps you must take to be able to access them.

Who can watch Saturday’s match against AFC Bournemouth (October 17th) live on QPR+?

Fans in the UK, Ireland and in EFL Dark Market countries can watch Saturday’s game against AFC Bournemouth live on QPR+.

ALL fans will need to purchase a QPR+ match pass in order to watch the game.

I am an overseas QPR+ video subscriber who lives in France. Why can't I watch Saturday's game like I normally would? 

the fixture has been selected by an overseas broadcaster, meaning that the club are only permitted to live stream the game in the UK, Ireland and a small number of overseas countries, known as the EFL Dark Markets.

Overseas video subscribers who are not in an EFL Dark Market country will be able to listen to live audio commentary on QPR+. 

Supporters living in EFL Dark Market countries with an QPR+ video subscription will be able to watch as they normally would. 

Will my QPR+ season ticket voucher allow me to watch Saturday’s game against AFC Bournemouth?

No, season ticket holders who have opted to keep their QPR+ access will need to purchase a QPR+ match pass to watch the AFC Bournemouth game.

Your season ticket voucher only entitles you to watch home and midweek away Championship matches, as outlined by the EFL.

Where can I purchase a match pass for Saturday’s game?

Match passes on are sale from this page on the QPR website: https://www.qpr.co.uk/qprpluspass/

Will I receive a voucher to activate when I purchase a match pass? 

No, when you buy a match pass for QPR+ it will automatically link to the account that you purchased it on. On matchday, simply login to that same account and the stream will play for you. 

I have purchased a match pass for the AFC Bournemouth game but I cannot find the link to watch the game on that QPR+ page. What should I do?

That QPR+ page is for purchasing match passes only. The link you will need to watch the match is this one: https://www.qpr.co.uk/videos/live/live-matches/.

Alternatively, you can download the new QPR App and watch the game there.

When I purchase a match pass, do I need to make sure that I log back into the same account on Saturday to watch the game?

Yes, if you have multiple QPR Accounts, you should make a note of the email address that you use to log in and buy your match pass. You MUST log into the same account on Saturday in order to watch as the match pass will be linked to that email address.

I have seen that QPR have launched a new app. Can I watch Saturday’s game on the existing app or will I have to download the new one?

All fans who wish to watch live games via an app MUST download the club’s new app. The previous app is no longer operational.

Creating/logging into a QPR Club Account

What is a QPR Club Account?

A QPR Club Account enables you to log into www.qpr.co.uk to access selected content on the QPR website, including the QPR+ streaming service.

How do I create a QPR Club Account?

You can create a QPR Club Account by clicking Login/Register in the top-right corner of the QPR website or by clicking HERE. A step-by-step guide with more help can be found HERE.

Do I need to create a new QPR Club Account for live streaming or can I use an existing one?

No, if you regularly log into the QPR website then you can use your normal credentials to log in. Please follow the steps below for information on how to activate your voucher.

How will I know if I already have a QPR Club Account?

After filling in your details on the registration page and pressing ‘Continue’ you will receive a red error message that says: ‘A QPR Account registered to that email address already exists’.

I know I have a QPR Club Account but I have forgotten my password. What should I do?

When logging in, there is an option to select ‘Forgotten Password?’. Click this, insert your email address and press ‘Continue’ and follow the steps to create a new password.

I don’t have an email address, what can I do?

Unfortunately, in order to create a QPR Club Account and access QPR+ you need an email address. Supporters can use the details of a relative or friend to create an account if required.

Purchasing match passes

What is a QPR+ match pass?

A QPR+ match pass grants you access to the club’s live streaming service for one selected game. This means that you can watch the match live on your computer, tablet or mobile.

Where can I purchase match passes from?

Match passes are sold exclusively through the QPR website. You can browse the current available match passes by clicking HERE.

How much are QPR+ match passes?

Match passes are priced at £10 per match for supporters in the UK & Ireland, and £7 for overseas supporters. These prices are dictated by the EFL.

When are match passes on sale from?

Match passes will normally go on sale at least two weeks before a fixture is due to be played.

Can I buy passes for multiple fixtures in one bundle/transaction?

No, QPR+ match passes have to be purchased separately due to EFL rules.

Why aren’t match passes for all of our matches on sale now?

Match passes will be placed on sale as and when the club are informed that they have not been selected for live coverage by Sky Sports on a particular date.

If QPR are selected for live coverage by Sky Sports, we cannot sell QPR+ match passes due to EFL regulations.

Do I have to activate anything once I have purchased my match pass?

No, once you purchase a match pass it will automatically activate on your account. You will NOT receive a voucher when you purchase a match pass.

Watching the Live Stream

How can I watch the stream?

Once you have activated your voucher you can watch the stream by CLICKING HERE. On the day of the match, the stream will go live around one hour before kick-off.

The link for the stream will be on the QPR homepage on the day of the match.

How can I watch the stream and on what devices?

Fans will be able to watch the matches live in two ways.

  1. Using a PC or Laptop: The live stream will be available on the qpr.co.uk homepage on matchday. To access it, click on the box that says ‘Live Stream’ and login to the account that you activated your QPR+ voucher on. Alternatively, you can also view HERE.
  2. Using a smartphone or tablet: Mobile/tablet users can also use qpr.co.uk to watch live streams but we would recommend using the QPR App. You can download the QPR App for free on Apple or Android mobile/tablet devices. When the stream is live, the QPR+ logo in the top right-hand corner will be gold. Click on it and select ‘Live Video’. Make sure you are logged into the QPR App before trying to watch.

What page do I need to visit to watch the stream on a matchday?

Once you have activated your voucher you can watch the stream by CLICKING HERE. On the day of the match, the stream will go live around one hour before kick-off.

Please note, you MUST have activated your voucher in order for the stream to play.

Can I watch on multiple devices at once?

No, supporters can only login and use their QPR Club Account on one device at a time.

Can I watch the stream through my television?

The streams will only be available through www.qpr.co.uk and the QPR app (mobile/ tablet users). Some fans may be able to connect their internet browsers to their televisions but this is down to fans to organise. Chromecasting is also currently against EFL regulations.

Can I view the stream on mobile data or do I need Wi-Fi?

Yes, the stream will work on both mobile data (3G/4G) and Wi-Fi. Please note, if you are using Wi-Fi then you will need a download speed of at least 2mbps in order for the stream to play smoothly. Similarly, you will need strong mobile data for the stream to play smoothly.

Other FAQs

I am a QPR+ live audio commentary subscriber. Will I have access to the stream?

If you are a QPR+ live audio commentary subscriber then you can access live audio commentary as normal. You will need to purchase match passes HERE to watch games.

Season ticket holders were provided with QPR+ access to all nine games, home and away, at the end of last season. Why has this changed to just home and midweek away games?

This was a decision made by the EFL, following a new flexible agreement made between themselves and Sky Sports.

What does ‘flexible agreement’ mean?

The agreement between the EFL and Sky Sports allows clubs to live stream their matches while games are being contested behind closed doors. As supporters begin to return to matches later in the year, this agreement may change, hence the use of the word flexible.

Are there minimum requirements for my devices?

If you want to browse the stream on a computer or laptop on www.qpr.co.uk, your device needs to comply with the following minimum system requirements:

  • Processor: 2.33GHz or faster x86-compatible processor, or Intel® Atom™ 1.6GHz or faster processor for netbooks
  • Memory: 2GB (1GB for netbooks) 128MB of graphics memory
  • Operating Systems: Windows 8.1 or later, Mac 9+
  • Browsers: latest versions of Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome
  • and Safari (Internet Explorer and Opera are not supported for Live Video)
  • 512MB of RAM (1GB of RAM recommended for netbooks)

I have activated my voucher/purchased a match pass but I cannot watch the stream. Can you help me further?

Do Hoops Members get a discount on match passes?

The price of QPR+ match passes is dictated by the EFL, so we are unable to offer a discount to Hoops Members.
