A GOALKEEPER who has a reputation of being comfortable with the ball at his feet, Liam Kelly has been signed by Mark Warburton as he aims to instil a brand of free-flowing football at The Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
Kelly is also no stranger to the recently-appointed R’s boss, after working together at Glasgow Rangers previously.
The 23-year-old moves to QPR from SPL outfit Livingston, who he joined permanently last summer following a successful 40-game loan spell from the ‘Gers in 2016/17. Livingston were ultimately promoted to the Scottish top-flight at the end of the 2017/18 campaign.
Previously, he had been at Ibrox for 14 years, and also had a loan period at East Fife during the second half of the 2015/16 season.
The ‘keeper’s admirers have continued to grow since then, no doubt helped by a tally of 14 clean sheets in 36 SPL outings last term. Livingston finished ninth from 12 teams.
On the international scene, Liam earned his first call-up to Scotland’s senior squad in March, following previous recognition at Under-21 level.
