JORDAN Cousins has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a quad muscle injury.
The 23 year-old midfielder suffered a rupture to his quad muscle in training, and has since successfully had an operation which will see him sidelined for approximately three months.
It is anticipated Cousins will be back to full fitness in time for pre-season training ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
QPR boss Ian Holloway told www.qpr.co.uk: “I was delighted to inherit Jordan because he is a player I would have bought.
“Unfortunately he has had a series of breakdowns, but now we have got to the bottom of it and I am just pleased that he is going to be back to fitness in time to join the group ahead of next season.
“He has got so much determination, he’s a really good lad and I just can’t wait to have a fully-fit Jordan as part of my squad - we will get him as fit as he has ever been in his life.
“I am really optimistic about him and what he can offer us.”
