The Cobblers continue to struggle under boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and are now second from bottom in the Sky Bet League One table. 

Meanwhile, Eberechi Eze played 62 minutes of Wycombe Wanderers' 0-0 draw at Stevenage on Saturday.

The 19-year-old was replaced by Sam Saunders as the Chairboys looked for all three points at the Lamex Stadium.

Under-23s teammate Jack Williams was an unused substitute for Gareth Ainsworth’s side who are holding down a play-off spot in League Two.

Elsewhere in the division Brandon Comley played 90 minutes for Colchester United as they recorded a comfortable 3-1 win against Exeter City at the weekend.

Midfielder Comley saw his side race into a 3-0 first-half lead following a double from Sammy Szmodics either side of Lloyd James’ own goal.

Victory on his 16th appearance for the League Two side sees the U’s climb to 10th in the table as we approach the midway stage.

Defender Alex Finney helped Maidstone United bounce back from their FA Cup defeat against QPR’s third round opponents MK Dons with a 0-0 draw at Maidenhead. 

The Under-23s centre-back played 90 minutes for The Stones, who are now 11th in the National League.

Finally, Brandon Adams had a weekend off after Linfield’s Irish Premier League match at Carrick Rangers was postponed due to the inclement weather.
