MATT Ingram made it three League One wins in a row with Northampton Town as the Cobblers recorded a 2-1 victory against Oxford United.
Ingram, returning to goal following a break for the FA Cup last weekend, played the full 90 minutes for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side.
Victory lifts Town to 19th in the table as Ingram made his 13th appearance of his loan spell at the Sixfields Stadium.
Meanwhile, Eberechi Eze was substituted after 80 minutes of Wycombe Wanderers 2-1 defeat at Morecambe on Saturday.
Eze was replaced by Matt Bloomfield 10 minutes from time with the Chairboys trailing 2-0 at the time.
Adebayo Akinfenwa pulled one back in the 83rd minute but it wasn’t enough for Gareth Ainsworth’s team who are seventh in the League Two standings.
Eze’s Under-23s teammate Jack Williams was not in the matchday squad for Wycombe.
Elsewhere in the division, midfielder Brandon Comley helped Colchester United to a 1-0 victory at Barnet at the weekend.
Comley was booked in the win at The Hive Stadium as he featured for the full 90 minutes.
The win lifts the U’s to 10th in League Two. Comley has made 12 appearances for the Essex side during his loan spell.
Defender Alex Finney started for Maidstone United in their 1-0 win at Torquay United.
The Stone continued their National League promotion push with victory at Plainmoor lifting them to 5th in the table.
Finney started the match, his 8th appearance of the season, as Joe Pigott’s 30th minute goal separated the two teams.
Under-23s striker Brandon Adams was a 77th minute sub for Linfield in their 2-1 Irish Premier League defeat against Ballymena United on Friday evening.
Finally, Seny Dieng was unable to help Whitehawk record their first win of the National League South season on Saturday as they fell to a 3-1 defeat at Gloucester City. The Hawks remain at the foot of the table after 18 matches.
