Loan Rangers: Ingram unable to stop Cobblers defeat

GOALKEEPER Matt Ingram was unable to stop Northampton Town from suffering a 1-0 defeat at Rotherham United on Saturday.

The R’s keeper made a number of vital saves in the Cobblers defeat at the New York Stadium at the weekend.

However, Kieffer Moore’s 52nd minute goal for the Millers proved too much for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s outfit who are 22nd in the League One standings.

Attacker Eberechi Eze played 86 minutes of Wycombe Wanderers 3-1 win against Barnet at the weekend as the Chairboys good run of form continued.

R’s youngster Eze had a hand in Wycombe’s equaliser laying off the ball in the build-up to Adebayo Akinfenwa’s header.

Wanderers head to Cambridge United this coming weekend in League Two.

Eze’s Under-23s teammate Jack Williams was not in the matchday squad for Gareth Ainsworth’s team.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in League Two midfielder Brandon Comley was a second half substitute for Colchester United in their 1-0 away day win at Yeovil Town.

Comley came on in the 69th minute at Huish Park as the U’s secured three points to lift them to 16th in the table.

Under-23s centre-back Alex Finney was an unused substitute for Maidstone in their 1-0 National League victory at Barrow. Maidstone are fifth in the table after 13 matches.

Finally, Brandon Adams wasn’t in Linfield’s matchday squad for their 3-2 defeat at Cliftonville in the Irish Premier League.
