GOALKEEPER MATT Ingram helped Northampton Town secure their first win in nine attempts in League One at the weekend.
The QPR goalkeeper, currently on loan at the Cobblers, played the full 90 minutes in Northampton’s 2-1 win at Gillingham on Saturday.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side scored 17 minutes from time to secure three points as they moved above their opponents into 22nd.
Elsewhere, Eberechi Eze was a second half substitute in Wycombe Wanderers defeat at fellow promotion chasers Swindon Town on Saturday.
Eze came off the bench for Gareth Ainsworth’s side in the 66th minute to replace Sam Saunders.
However, the R’s youngster was unable to inspire a comeback as Harry Smith’s 15th minute goal handed the Robins victory in League Two.
Eze’s Under-23s teammate Jack Williams was not in the matchday squad at the County Ground.
Meanwhile, midfielder Brandon Comley helped 10 man Colchester United to a 0-0 draw at Coventry City.
Comley completed 90 minutes for the U’s at the Ricoh Arena as Tom Lapslie’s 76th minute dismissal meant the Essex side were forced to settle for a point.
Saturday’s start means the 21-year-old has now made nine appearances since joining on loan in the summer.
Alex Finney’s trip to Fylde with Maidstone United was abandoned after 48 minutes as Storm Brian took grip.
Fresh from his extra-time goal in Maidstone’s FA Cup replay midweek, Finney had started at their Mill Farm stadium, but torrential rain saw the match called off three minutes into the second half.
The hosts were leading 2-1 at the time.
Finally, Brandon Adams’ Linfield host Crusaders tonight at Windsor Park in the Irish Premiership.
