GOALKEEPER Matt Ingram was unable to prevent Northampton Town from suffering a second successive League One defeat last night.
The QPR keeper saw the Cobblers go down 2-0 at Plymouth Argyle as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s team continue to struggle in the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Wycombe Wanderers suffered defeat at Accrington Stanley as Eberechi Eze played 90 minutes for the Chariboys.
Eze, who scored in Wycombe’s 4-0 win last weekend, was unable to inspire Gareth Ainsworth’s outfit to three points against their promotion rivals.
Eze is in action again on Saturday when Wycombe host Yeovil Town at Adams Park.
Elsewhere in League Two, Brandon Comley was a first half substitute in Colchester United’s 1-0 win against Lincoln City.
Comley came off the bench to replace Doug Loft after 37 minutes at the Weston Homes Community Stadium as Sammie Szmodics third minute goal saw the U’s climb to ninth in League Two.
Finally, Under-23s defender Alex Finney’s Maidstone United suffered a heavy 4-0 loss against Boreham Wood last night.
Finney, making his tenth appearance for The Stones, completed 90 minutes as they slipped out of the National League play-off spots.
