ARAMIDE Oteh continued his impressive goalscoring run by opening the scoring in Bradford City’s Emirates FA Cup first-round tie at Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.
The striker latched onto a poor defensive header before lobbing the ball over goalkeeper Brian Murphy and volleying into the empty net. Josh Laurent levelled for the League One Shrews and the tie ended level, meaning the two teams will have to contest a replay.
Wycombe Wanderers will also face a first-round replay after drawing 2-2 at Tranmere Rovers on Saturday. Giles Phillips was an unused substitute for the Chairboys and Paul Smyth missed out through injury.
Seny Dieng played 90 minutes for Doncaster Rovers on Saturday. They drew 1-1 at AFC Wimbledon and will, therefore, need to contest a first-round replay as well.
Themis Kefalas and Ody Alfa both started for Billericay Town in their 4-0 defeat against Forest Green Rovers in the FA Cup. Kefalas played 90 minutes and Alfa was substituted after 58 minutes.
Charlie Rowan was not involved in Barnet’s 2-0 defeat to Fleetwood Town in the FA Cup on Sunday.
Osman Kakay helped Partick Thistle beat Greenock Morton in the Scottish Championship on Saturday, despite Partick playing with 10 men for 40 minutes. The victory was their first home success of the season.
In the Scottish Premiership, Niko Hamalainen’s Kilmarnock came from 2-0 down against Hamilton Academical to draw 2-2. Hamilton had a man sent off with the score at 2-0 and Hamalainen played 90 minutes of the match.
Kai Woollard-Innocent played the full game for Stratford Town in their 4-1 defeat to Coalville Town on Saturday.
