QPR midfielder Massimo Luongo came on as a second half substitute as Australia picked up their first win at the Asian Cup.
Luongo started on the bench for the Socceroos as they sealed a 3-0 win against Palestine in Dubai.
Following the Aussie’s opening match defeat against Jordan on Sunday, Luongo replaced Tom Rogic for the final 15 minutes at the Al-Shabab Stadium.
First-half goals from Jamie Maclaren and Awer Mabil put Australia 2-0 up at the break before a 90th-minute strike from substitute Apostolos Giannou handed the Socceroos three points in Group B.
The win sees Luongo’s side go second in their group ahead of their match with Syria on Tuesday (1:30 pm KO).
