QPR have completed the loan signing of Ravel Morrison from Lazio until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old attacker will stay at Loftus Road for the remainder of the 2016/17 campaign, with Rangers having the option to exercise a permanent agreement at the end of the season.
Morrison, of course, enjoyed a successful loan spell in W12 during the second half of the 2013/14 season, scoring six goals in 15 appearances for the R’s in the Championship, as the Hoops achieved promotion via the play-offs.
Now, he’s ready to reignite his career with QPR and make the most of a ‘great opportunity’ at Loftus Road.
“I am really pleased to be back here,” Morrison told www.qpr.co.uk.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to come back and hopefully find the form I showed the first time around.
“I am ready to work hard and focus fully on playing for Rangers.
“I’m really grateful to the manager and everyone else at the club for sorting out this loan deal – and I can’t wait to play in front of the QPR fans again.”
Ian Holloway has welcomed the chance to work with a player whom he has ‘great belief’ in – and can’t wait to help Morrison find his form once again in West London, commenting: “This has got me all over it, hasn’t it?
“QPR fans know me and what I’m all about and they know I love giving a chance to players who I believe in, and that’s the case with Ravel.
“Sometimes it takes a few setbacks for players to flourish. It’s all about hard work for him now.
“He’s ready to work and ready to show what he’s about, and it’s up to me to show him the way and create an environment for him to thrive in.
“He’s got some work to do over the coming weeks to get where he needs to be, but we will help him as a group, show him some love in the special environment we’re trying to create here and then we can be positive – together – going forward.
“I think he’s in a good place and we’re going to help him progress as a player. It’s down to him, but let’s not expect too much, too soon.”
Morrison will wear the number 49 shirt at Loftus Road.
