IAN Holloway confessed his QPR side 'shot themselves in the foot' - as Rangers bowed out of the FA Cup.
Ousseynou Cisse capitalised on a 'comedy of errors' on the hour mark to send MK Dons into the fourth round, as the R's - despite dominating possession - lost 1-0 at Loftus Road.
“It’s a hoodoo for us in the FA Cup – but you can’t make mistakes like we’ve done today," said Holloway.
“We shot ourselves in the foot. The level of performance wasn’t anywhere near where I expected it to be.
“It wasn’t good enough – nowhere near. The intensity wasn’t there. There was a lack of communication throughout our performance.
“The effort was there – but the performance was disappointing.
“It’s about setting standards day in, day out, but today wasn’t good enough.”
Ollie added: “To be fair, we’ve gifted them the goal. The lad (Cisse) stuck it in the back of the net well enough – but it was basically a comedy of errors.
“We should have put ourselves in front before that, and the referee definitely should have given a penalty in the first half.
“But well done to MK Dons. I picked largely the same team, giving only Massimo [Luongo] a rest because I wanted us to build some momentum. But that’s backfired on me today.
“Unfortunately, we’re out of the cup.”
