PAUL Parker is eager to throw his support behind Prostate Cancer UK’s charity’s flagship football-fundraising event, Football to Amsterdam 2019, but he needs your help.
More specifically, he needs your BIKE!
Parker, who played for the R’s between 1987 and 1991, wants to follow in the footsteps of Les Ferdinand who completed the 145-mile two-day cycle in 2017, but he is missing one vital component – a bike.
“I am really keen to do my bit to help Prostate Cancer UK,” Parker told www.qpr.co.uk
“I now know that one in eight men – and one in four black men – will be affected by the disease in the UK at some point in their life.
“That’s an incredible statistic and if by doing this cycle I can raise funds and awareness, it will mean so much to me.
“Sadly I don’t have a bike so I thought I would call on the R’s fans to see if they can help me out – and by helping me out, help fight Prostate Cancer.”
If you have a road bike and are willing to let Paul use it for training and the event itself, which takes place between 7th and 9th June this year, please contact [email protected].
