MICHAEL Petrasso’s 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup adventure ended in the early hours of Friday morning following Canada’s 2-1 defeat against Jamaica.
The Canucks suffered defeat in the quarter-finals against the Reggae Boys at the University of Phoenix Stadium.
Petrasso made his fourth start of the competition, completing the full 90 minutes in Arizona.
However, Canada found themselves 1-0 down after just six minutes when Shaun Francis put Jamaica ahead.
They doubled their lead five minutes after half-time when Romario Williams made it 2-0 before former QPR winger Junior Hoilett reduced the deficit in the 61st minute.
Petrasso’s side were unable to force an equaliser though and the R’s youngster will now head back to the UK ahead of the new Sky Bet Championship season.
