MICHAEL Petrasso started for Canada in their 4-2 CONCACAF 2017 Gold Cup win against French Guiana last night.
The QPR winger was handed his third cap for the Canadian senior side as the Canucks secured victory in New York.
Petrasso, who completed the full 90 minutes at the Red Bull Arena, played as a right-back as Canada raced into a 3-0 lead after an hour thanks to goals from Dejan Jakovic (28), Scott Arfield (45) and Alphonso Davies (60).
French Guiana did pull two goals back to make it 3-2 but Davies made sure of victory when he added Canada’s fourth of the evening - and his second - four minutes from time.
Victory puts Canada top of Group A after one match. They face Costa Rica on Wednesday in Texas.
