QPR are asking fans to support another special team – the NHS!
In February 2019, QPR and QPR Trust worked together to raise awareness of how you can help the NHS by using their appropriate services.
Now, in the midst of COVID-19 and the well-documented pressure on the NHS, that messaging is more important than ever.
Some of the players involved may no longer be wearing the blue and white Hoops of QPR, but the information they promote through the below videos transcends footballing rivalries.
The campaign highlights how, by choosing the right services, people can save themselves time and inconvenience too. It explains that A&E is only there for serious and life-threatening emergencies. The average waiting time at local A&E departments is the equivalent of three full games of football. If people choose to visit their local walk-in centre or urgent care centre for injuries or illness that need prompt treatment but aren’t life-threatening they can usually be seen by half time!
R NHS also celebrates the important service that pharmacies offer in providing advice and treatment for everyday conditions, such as colds, sore throats and skin conditions.
