QPR will start their 2018/19 Sky Bet Championship season away at Preston North End.
The fixture against the Lilywhites – who just missed out on last year’s playoffs – will be played on Saturday 4th August 2018, kick-off 3:00 pm at Deepdale.
Rangers’ home campaign begins with the visit of Sheffield United a week later (August 11th), before a trip to relegated West Bromwich Albion on August 18th.
A Loftus Road double-header against Bristol City (August 21st) and Wigan Athletic (August 25th) will complete the opening month.
In other notable fixtures, QPR’s first London derby arrives on September 19th with a midweek visit from Millwall, with the return fixture at The Den pencilled in for April 10th. The R’s will host Brentford in W12 on November 10th, ahead of travelling to Griffin Park on March 2nd.
Elsewhere, new Rangers boss Steve McClaren will come up against former side Derby County on October 6th (H) and April 22nd (A) respectively.
The festive season kicks off with an away tie against another of McClaren’s old teams, Nottingham Forest (December 22nd), prior to home fixtures against Ipswich Town (Boxing Day) and Reading (December 29th). The Hoops will travel to Aston Villa on New Year’s Day.
The campaign concludes with a trip to Sheffield Wednesday on May 5th – Hillsborough the scene of our 2003/04 promotion to the Championship, of course – while Nottingham Forest are our visitors for QPR’s final home fixture of the season a week earlier on April 27th.
