QPR will travel to Austria in July as part of their preparations for the 2019/20 Championship campaign under new manager Mark Warburton.
The R’s will head out to the Mistelbach District on 6th July. Following a week of training, they will take on Austria Vienna on Friday 12th July before returning to London the following day.
Warburton will get his first glimpse of his new team in action when they play the Austrian Bundesliga side at the Generali Arena in Vienna. The fixture will kick off at 7pm local time (6pm BST).
The R’s gaffer told www.qpr.co.uk: “It is obviously such an important time in the year, an important time to get it right with the players and to get the work right.
“The key focus for us will be on how we are going to play and introducing more and more ideas to the players.
“We want to get the basic groundwork done prior to departure and will be using the week in Austria to gauge exactly where we are.
“The trip also gives us an opportunity to bond with existing players and any new players coming in and we will be looking for a good, positive working environment.
“We will want to get a good week of work under our belt in good conditions culminating in a high-quality opponent at the end of it. It will be a really good challenge from a fixture perspective.”
Ticket details for the match will be released in due course.
