QPR spread Christmas cheer at Hillingdon Hospital

MEMBERS of the QPR first team visited Hillingdon Hospital’s Peter Pan and Wendy children’s ward on Monday.

The R’s squad spread some festive cheer to the children and their families currently receiving treatment.

R’s players Massimo Luongo, Matt Ingram, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Jordan Cousins and Josh Scowen spent time with the kids and their families, handing out gifts, chatting to staff and posing for photos.

The ill youngsters, many of whom will spend Christmas in hospital, were also joined by two players from Rangers Women’s side, Ashleigh Harte and Rachel Mullard and one of the R’s mascots Spark was a particular hit with the children.

“It certainly put things into perspective,” Jordan Cousins told www.qpr.co.uk.

"This time of year is all about celebration and being with family and friends, so it’s sad to see kids in hospital at any time but certainly over Christmas. Hopefully, we’ve been able to put a few smiles on faces and brighten up their day.

"The staff do a fantastic job here and it’s important to recognise the work they do too."
