QPR will commemorate 2019’s Remembrance weekend when the R’s host Middlesbrough at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Saturday.
Volunteers from the Royal British Legion will be in W12 and supporters are invited to donate what they can to the charity. The volunteers will have traditional paper poppies, as well as a limited number of poppy pin badges, for fans who donate to the Royal British Legion.
There will also be personnel from our local parachute regiment 4 Para in attendance, one of whom is due to lead the teams out of the tunnel, carrying the match ball, shortly before kick-off.
Once the teams have taken to the field, a 4 Para officer will read a Roll of Honour, listing all of the former QPR and Middlesbrough players who were killed in action during either the First or Second World War.
All inside Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium will then be asked to observe a two-minute period of silence before an RAF bugler plays the Last Post.
