#QPRCHA foodbank donations FAQs

QPR supporters can help to make a difference to a local family in need this Christmas by donating non-perishable foods to Hammersmith and Fulham Foodbank when the R’s host Charlton Athletic on Saturday 21st December.

Charlton supporters have also been invited to donate and below are a series of questions and answers ahead of the day…

What is non-perishable food?

Non-perishable foods have a long shelf life and don't require refrigeration. Examples include cereals, rice, biscuits, long-life milk or canned meat or fish.

What foods are most urgently needed by the foodbank?

All non-perishable food that supporters can donate will be greatly appreciated by Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank and a list of their most urgently needed foods is available to read below.

Where can I donate my food?

Supporters can donate their non-perishable food at the club’s Family Fan Zone on Saturday, which is located at PlayFootball on South Africa Road. It is just a short walk from Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

When can I donate my food?

Supporters can donate their non-perishable food from midday on Saturday at the above location, as shown on the map.

Can I donate money instead?

Yes, supporters who are not able to bring food but would still like to support Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank will be able to donate money on Saturday. Money can be donated at PlayFootball or, alternatively, a number of donation buckets will be located around Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

Where can I buy food on matchday to donate?

There are two small supermarkets located in close proximity to Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium that fans can purchase non-perishable foods from on Saturday.

  • Sainsbury’s Local, which will be open 7am to 11pm – address: 56 Bloemfontein Rd, White City, London W12 7DH
  • Tesco Express, which will be open 6am to 11pm – address: BBC Media Centre, 201 Wood Ln, London W12 7TU

Other nearby supermarkets and shops may also sell non-perishable foods.

Can I donate if I cannot make the game?

I’m a Charlton fan – where should I donate?  

The place for Charlton fans and QPR fans to donate their food is the same – PlayFootball on South Africa Road. Please see above for more information on its location. Charlton fans can also donate from midday.
