ON Wednesday the club released ticket details for our upcoming Sky Bet Championship fixture at Reading on Saturday 11th September.
Based on previous sale figures for this fixture these tickets were immediately placed on general sale, and subsequently sold out.
This was a mistake and the club would like to apologise to all our loyal supporters who were unable to acquire tickets for the game.
We have contacted Reading to request an additional allocation beyond the 2,018 already received, but this has been turned down.
CEO Lee Hoos said: “We are hugely sorry to all our fans who follow us home and away who have been unable to get a ticket for the game.
“We completely under-estimated the level of feel-good factor that currently exists amongst the fans which has increased demand for tickets, and for that I apologise.
“All away match tickets will now be sold with an initial loyalty points window to ensure this situation does not happen again.”
