IMPORTANT information for senior supporters:
In line with a large number of Premier League and Championship clubs across the country and taking into account eligibility to access state retirement benefits, QPR will be adjusting the age range for senior concession tickets over the coming years.
We are acutely aware this will affect a number of supporters so with this in mind we have created a structure which is phased and gradual. We believe this will reduce the impact of this necessary change.
Please note, no changes will be implemented until 2021/22.
Currently, senior concession prices are available to QPR supporters aged 60 and above. This will increase on a gradual scale as detailed in the table below.
Over the past eight years, state retirement age has increased from 60 to 65 for women, and this is set to rise further to 66, 67 and 68 for both men and women.
QPR CEO Lee Hoos told www.qpr.co.uk: “Almost 75% of Championship clubs have already increased their senior concession age to 65 while 90% of Premier League clubs do likewise.
“However, as we will be increasing the age on a gradual scale we will not reach this level for another ten years following which senior concession age will track state retirement age.
“This decision is not one which has been made lightly but with state retirement age increasing significantly in recent years, it is important that we as a club move in keeping with the times.”
