GOALKEEPER Seny Dieng has signed a new four-year deal at QPR, keeping him at the club until 2024.
Dieng, whose original contract expired next summer, told www.qpr.co.uk: “I’m very happy to sign a new contract and I'm really looking forward to the season ahead.”
The 25-year-old has been with the R’s since 2017, but has spent most of that time on loan.
Last season he impressed during a season-long spell in League One with Doncaster Rovers, keeping 10 clean sheets whilst at the Keepmoat Stadium.
“I really enjoyed my time at Doncaster,” Dieng said. “I enjoyed playing week in, week out, and it was a really good learning curve for me.
“The loans have been vital. People haven’t seen a lot of me at QPR so they gave me the chance to show what I could do.”
Now back in west London, Dieng is excited about the future and challenging for the R's number one spot.
“Ultimately my goal is to play for QPR,” he added. “We’ve got healthy competition in the goalkeeping position and I’m fighting for my place.
“It’s a young team here but we’ve got a great team spirit and the club is going in the right direction.”
