NORWAY captain Stefan Johansen is a rounded midfielder who makes the move from local neighbours Fulham following four-and-a-half years at Craven Cottage.

Johansen joined the Whites from Celtic in August 2016 and, over 142 appearances – where he scored 21 goals – was instrumental in separate promotion campaigns to the Premier League in seasons 2017/18 and 2019/20.

A loan spell at West Bromwich Albion was sandwiched in between, where he stayed for the second half of the ‘18/19 campaign as the Baggies eventually lost out to Aston Villa in the Championship play-off semi-finals.

As a youngster, Johansen joined FK Bodo/Glimt in his homeland and was just 16 when he made his senior debut for the club.

The 30-year-old later moved on to Stromsgodset IF where he enjoyed great success, finishing second in Norway’s top division in 2012, before winning the competition the following year.

In January 2014, Johansen completed his move to Celtic for a reported £2million, and won the Scottish Premiership title in each of his two-and-a-half seasons at the club.

He was named Celtic's player of the season and joint players’ player of the season for 2014/15, and departed having made 114 appearances and scored 20 times.

Velkommen, Stefan!
