STRIKER Tomer Hemed joins QPR on loan with a solid goalscoring record in England and abroad as R’s boss Steve McClaren boosts his attacking options.
Hemed, 31, moves to Loftus Road on loan from Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion until the end of the 2018/19 season.
The Israeli international has been capped on 32 occasions for his country, scoring 16 times after making his senior international debut in 2011.
The 6ft forward launched his career with Maccabi Haifa in 2006 after progressing through their youth ranks. He made 49 appearances, scoring 16 goals, over a five-year spell whilst also enjoying loan spells with Maccabi Herzliya, Bnei Yehuda and Maccabi Ahi Nazareth.
In June 2011, Hemed transferred to Spanish La Liga outfit RCD Mallorca penning a three-year deal. Scoring 21 times in 58 starts during his time on the Balearic Islands, Hemed linked up with Almería in the summer of 2014 hitting the back of the net on eight occasions in 26 La Liga starts.
His spell lasted 12 months before Brighton and Hove Albion swooped to sign the forward on a three-year deal for £1m in July 2015.
Hemed finished his first season as top scorer for the Seagulls, netting 17 times before scoring 13 the following season as Brighton won promotion to the Premier League at the end of the 2016/17 campaign.
Last season Hemed went on to make 16 top-flight appearances, scoring in wins against West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United as the south coast side comfortably retained their Premier League status.
Now Hemed will be hoping to repeat his Championship goalscoring exploits at Loftus Road and help Steve McClaren’s side climb the table.
