Three Up, Three Down: Sheffield United

AHEAD of the 2017/18 fixtures being released next week we take a look at one of the Championships newest sides.

Team: Sheffield United
Manager: Chris Wilder
Nickname: The Blades

Stadium: Bramall Lane
Capacity: 32,702
Miles from Loftus Road: 320

Position: 1st (League One)

2016/17: After enduring a slow start to their League One campaign things began to pick up for Chris Wilder’s side around October and from that moment on there was no stopping the Blades. United were simply too powerful for the rest of the teams in the division and their attacking style of football saw them finish well deserved champions, clocking up 100 points.

One to watch: Billy Sharp – The forward once again showed his goal scoring prowess in League One this season topping the scoring charts with 30 strikes. The Yorkshireman is undoubtedly Wilder’s talisman up top and will likely be their main goal scoring threat in the upcoming campaign.
