GEORGE Petchey and Keith Rutter will be posthumously inducted into The Forever R's Club against Preston on Saturday.
Represented by family members, the pair will be inducted by club ambassador Andy Sinton at half-time.
Both defenders, Petchey was born in Whitechapel on June 24th 1931 and signed for QPR from West Ham in the summer of 1953.
He spent seven years with the R’s before departing for Crystal Palace in 1960.
During his time with the club, Petchey made 271 appearances, scoring 24 goals. He passed away in December 2019 at the age of 88.
Rutter was born on September 10th 1931 and came to QPR in 1954, signing from Methley United.
During a nine-year stay, Rutter clocked up an impressive 362 appearances for the R’s, scoring twice.
He also played in our club record 9-2 win over Tranmere Rovers in 1960. Rutter sadly died in June this year, aged 89.
Petchey and Rutter played together 218 times.
They are Forever R’s.
