CONOR Washington played the final 21 minutes of Northern Ireland’s 3-1 defeat against Germany on Thursday evening.
The QPR striker came off the bench for the Irish in the closing stages of their FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifier in Belfast.
Washington replaced Karl Lafferty in attack at Windsor Park after goals from Sebastian Rudy and Sandro Wagner handed the visitors a 2-0 first half lead.
Germany then made it 3-0 through Joshua Kimmich four minutes from time before Josh Magennis grabbed a stoppage time consolation goal.
Northern Ireland, who are well placed to book a place in the play-offs to qualify for the finals in Russia next year, complete their Group C campaign against Norway on Sunday.
