STRIKER Conor Washington has been called-up by Northern Ireland for their forthcoming World Cup qualification matches.
The QPR forward has been selected for games against San Marino and the Czech Republic as they bid to make the finals in Russia next year.
Washington will travel to San Marino on 1st September (7:45pm BST) before returning to Belfast to face the Czech Republic on 4th September (7:45pm BST).
The Irish are currently second in Group C of their qualification group after six matches. The nine group winners qualify for the finals in 2018, whilst the eight best runners-up also progress automatically.
Former Peterborough frontman Washington has scored twice for Ian Holloway’s side in the Sky Bet Championship this season.
