Amit Bhatia’s game raises £15k for QPR Trust

QPR in the Community Trust received a donation of £15,000 this week, courtesy of a game organised by R’s chairman Amit Bhatia.

Bhatia participated in the fixture at the stadium during the close season, along with friends and colleagues.

Fellow R’s Board member Jamie Reuben - pictured above with Bhatia - also played, as did Ross Desmond. Following the match, a donation to help the Trust continue their incredible work in the local community was made.

Bhatia said: “It is always so much fun to play at our stadium with so many friends and it’s a date we all look forward to all year.

“It is also perfectly fitting for the donation to be made towards QPR Trust.

“I never tire of hearing the incredible stories which come from people who have participated in their projects.

“Thousands of people in our community benefit from the efforts of Andy Evans and his fantastic team, and it is an area of our club of which I am immensely proud.”

QPR Trust CEO Andy Evans added: “Amit has been an incredible supporter of the work we do ever since he first became involved with the club.

“This fantastic gesture is just another example of how keen he is, along with all the Board members, to see us grow and grow, impacting on as many lives as we can.

“It is a wonderful show of generosity from Amit, Jamie and Ross, and we are hugely grateful to them.”
