ALTHOUGH Christmas is still a few weeks away, QPR supporters can start to make a real difference this year, by donating non-perishable foods to Hammersmith and Fulham Foodbank.
After what has been a desperately busy year for Foodbanks up and down the country, your support this Christmas is needed more than ever.
During the last six months, the Hammersmith and Fulham Foodbank have packed and delivered food to over 26,000 residents – the equivalent of 260,000 meals. This is also four times more than the usual demand.
As numbers continue to rise again through what will un-doubtably be a tough winter for everyone, Hammersmith and Fulham’s foodbank want to add some Christmas treats into all their food boxes in the run up to the big day to add a little extra festive cheer.
The main items which the foodbank require are non-perishable foods, but a small Christmas treat in small packs would help put a smile on someone’s face this year.
Non-perishable foods have a long shelf life and don't require refrigeration. Examples include cereals, rice, biscuits, long-life milk or canned meat or fish.
Unfortunately, H&F Foodbank are not able to take products containing alcohol, so cannot accept mince pies and Christmas puddings that contain this.
These items can be dropped off directly to our warehouse at the old PC World superstore located next to Wandsworth Bridge.
