AT A TIME of lockdown for many, QPR in the Community Trust have made available a cookbook - from one of their healthy eating initiatives - for those wishing to sample new recipes.
Thanks to funding from Fulcrum and West London Health Partnership, the Trust have been delivering cooking sessions to year nine and 10 students from the local Phoenix Academy as part of their 'Cook & Eat' project.
The project has helped to give students the skills and confidence that is needed to create healthy and nutritious meals.
The Trust's Sinead Friel told www.qpr.co.uk: “We have been really thankful to Fulcrum and West London Health Partnership for providing the funding to allow us to deliver this session to Phoenix Academy students. The students have really enjoyed it and we could see on a weekly basis the improvement in their cooking skills and knowledge.
“In the current situation, where most are having to isolate, this booklet provides tasty and simple recipes which the whole family can help to cook.”
