AFTER receiving updated guidance from the Government on Monday 16th March, as well as other expert advice, QPR in the Community Trust has made the decision to suspend the delivery of Trust activities that are not taking place within schools.
Following confirmation that all EFL fixtures have been postponed until April 3rd, please see the below information regarding the immediate suspension of QPR in the Community Trust's non-school activities.
This action has been taken to serve the best interests of the local community and our staff members, in light of the growing challenges posed by the COVID-19 virus.
At present, the advice is that school activity may continue if our school partners wish that to be the case. Any continued activity should not be delivered by any staff member in the at-risk groups identified by Government.
We are also aware of local differences and that an increasing number of schools are changing their policies daily. As a result, we are working with our partnered schools to ensure that we are still able to provide a service to schools, but remain cautious and aware of any developments at this time.
We are also aware of the significant role we as a Trust will be able to play in the not too distant future, so we will work together to do whatever we can to support those both at risk of isolation and vulnerable groups that rely on charities such as ourselves.
We have already seen examples of clubs rising to this challenge and QPR in the Community Trust will continue to demonstrate leadership and collaboration within our local communities in what is a very challenging period.
QPR FC and QPR in the Community Trust will continue to provide updated guidance as and when we receive it.
