CLUB Ambassador Andy Sinton presented Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank with a cheque for £2,553.36 at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Saturday.
Over the Christmas period, QPR supporters, staff and players kindly donated more than 200kg of food to the foodbank, as well as aforementioned amount of money.
Staff from the foodbank were in W12 at the weekend and, ahead of kick-off against Bristol City, Sinton thanked them for the difference they make to the local community by handing over the cheque.
Speaking in January, Saba Hassan, Hub Manager at Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank, said: “QPR’s support for our work is greatly appreciated and has had a significant impact on our ability to help the thousands of people who visit the foodbank each year.
“Demand for the foodbank in Hammersmith & Fulham remains high and we cannot provide these vital services to the local community without the club’s support.
“We cannot thank QPR enough for all of the ways in which they have already supported the work of the foodbank during the last year.”
QPR supporters can donate to Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank on every home matchday at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. On Saturdays, the food collection point is at the Family Fan Zone and for midweek and Sunday games it is at Alton House reception.
